Our story began with our founder’s personal struggle with Nigeria’s inconsistent electricity supply. Like many Nigerians, he experienced the frustration of constant outages, expensive generator fuel, noise, and maintenance challenges.
In 2020, a simple solar installation transformed that experience completely.
The result was uninterrupted productivity, peace of mind, and freedom from constant power anxiety. That experience inspired the creation of Lumiwave Energies.
Today, we help homes, businesses, churches, schools, and organisations transition from unreliable power sources to dependable solar energy systems.
Our focus goes beyond installation. We provide complete energy solutions including consultation, system design, installation, upgrades, maintenance, repairs, and ongoing technical support.

As Founder and Lead Energy Consultant, Alex personally oversees the design philosophy behind Lumiwave’s solutions, ensuring that every recommendation balances performance, affordability, efficiency, and long-term value. His approach is simple: understand the customer’s needs first, then design the most practical solution for their budget and energy goals.
Beyond renewable energy, Alex brings several years of project management experience, enabling Lumiwave Energies to execute projects with professionalism, structure, accountability, and attention to detail.

At the heart of Lumiwave Energies is a passion for solving one of Nigeria’s greatest challenges: reliable access to electricity.
Opeyemi Alex Olowolafe is a scholar, project manager, and renewable energy professional whose commitment to excellence has been evident from his earliest academic years. A top-performing graduate of the University of Benin, he has consistently distinguished himself through discipline, innovation, attention to detail, and a relentless pursuit of practical solutions to real-world problems.
With over four years of experience in solar consultation, system design, energy planning, and installation oversight, Alex has helped homeowners, students, remote workers, entrepreneurs, and businesses make the transition from unreliable power sources to dependable solar energy systems.
His journey into renewable energy began from personal experience. Like millions of Nigerians, he experienced firsthand the frustrations of unstable electricity, rising fuel costs, and the limitations they place on productivity and quality of life. After installing his first solar solution and experiencing the transformation it brought, he became convinced that reliable power should not be a luxury available only to a few.
